Angelo Mario DeYulis

Angelo Mario DeYulis 91, passed away on June 15, 2024 at his home in Revloc.  He was born August 2, 1932 in Italy, son of Giuseppe and Maria DeYulis, preceded in death by his parents and three sisters:  Adina Di Lorenzo, Domenica Di Vitale and Annina Pacini.  Survived by his wife of 67 years, Italina (Dolly) DeYulis, son, Joseph, daughter, Christina and friend, Michael Fagan, son, Mark and wife Rebecca.  Grandchildren:  Danielle Baughman, Angela DeYulis, Matthew Baughman, Domenic DeYulis and wife, Lindsay, Mario DeYulis and wife, Mackenzie, and special caregiver and friend, Sharon Makosy.  Mario was a sheep herder and migrated from Italy in 1951 at 19 years of age.   He settled in Revloc and started his career as a coal miner at Bethlehem Mines 32 where he worked for 35 years.  He was a loving, dedicated and proud husband, father and Nonno.  He loved Pittsburgh Sports, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates and he loved the Yankees.  He was always available to help local baseball teams by coaching and fixing fields and was an avid hunter as he loved to go to the camp he built 68 years ago.  He was always proud of his garden, especially tomatoes which he grew and shared with everyone, and he taught many children how to plant and grow a garden.  He shared his wisdom and talent of winemaking with family and friends.  He took pride in his work ethic, was humble and generous, very active his entire life, young at heart, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The stories of his life experiences and the wisdom he shared will always be remembered by family and friends. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. At the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Funeral Mass Thursday at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Church, Ebensburg. The Rev. Brian Warchola.
