Arlene Mentch, Colver, Age 75. Born May 28, 1950 in Colver. Died May 25, 2026 Haida Manor, Hastings. Daughter of James Kermit and Helen (Stophel) McCullough. Preceded in death by parents, sister Eleanor Findley. Survived by spouse, N. Bruce Mentch and children, Dr. Donald Mentch and spouse Dr. Bahar; Kerry Ann O’Connell and spouse Christopher; Ret. Lt Col. Martin Mentch and spouse Penny. Grandchildren, Hayden Mentch; Warner Mentch; Oliver Mentch; Tyler Mentch; Ethan Mentch and Owen Mentch. Sister of Kathy Davis, Colver; Vera Ley, Johnstown; and Mary Ann Pellas, Ebensburg. Arleene was a devout Christian who loved the Lord. She read the Bible daily and was always eager to share the Good Word. After working over 30 years as a legal secretary. Arlene thoroughly enjoyed her retirement. She was a talented crocheter and quilter. Lucky was the recipient of one of her meticulously crafted gifts she so clearly made with love. She married her high school sweetheart Bruce and they enjoyed over 54 years of marriage. Together they raised their three children. Their pastimes included remodeling their home, gardening, and travel. Their favorite travels were ones that involved family. Arlene’s pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She devoted herself to them entirely and her support was unwavering. She fiercely loved her family and will be dearly missed by them all. Member of Colver Presbyterian Church.
