Arlene P. Schweitzer, (3/6/42 – 7/12/25) Ebensburg. Age 83. Arlene was the most amazing and adored wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was wife to the love of her life Robert for 56 years and mother to Anthony ( Leanne Meredith ) Red Lion, PA; Amy ( Tom Rothenberger ), Carlisle, PA; Traci ( Michael McNeal ), Boiling Springs, PA, and Bruce ( Dana Hurley ), Ebensburg. She was grandma to Erica (Matthew), Rebecca (Ryan), Molly, Lyndsey (Jack), Benjamin, Joshua, Emma, David, Daniel, Amelia, and Caleb and one great-grandchild, Lincoln. She was proceeded in death by her husband Bob, parents Alphonse and Lee ( Serafini) Rudnick and brother Dr. Derrol Rudnick. She was a Registered Nurse at Laurel Crest Manor and after retirement she was an active volunteer, spending her time at the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry in Ebensburg, Holy Name Church, and Habitat for Humanity/Helping Hands of Cambria County. She loved watching and feeding the birds in her backyard and feeding the neighbor’s donkeys. Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Church, Ebensburg with the Rev. Brian Warchola. Interment will be at Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg immediately following the service. Nurse Honor Guard will be present Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Vincent de Paul food pantry, Ebensburg or the Human Society of Cambria County in Arlene’s memory. And remember to feed the birds!
