Daniel O’Hara, 73, of Ebensburg died May 22, 2024 due to heart complications at Conemaugh Hospital. He was born February 6, 1951, Johnstown, the son of James and Pauline O’Hara. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Timothy. Survived by children Julie (Scott) Sipe, Pamela O’Hara, and Daniel O’Hara, grandchildren Gabriel, Ashlyn, Blair, and Samuel, and sisters Patricia (George) Smith, Mary Lou (Deacon Daniel) Perich, Judith (Joel) Kosmac, and Christine (Christopher) Dumm. Daniel was a faithful member of Holy Name Church, an avid hunter and shooter, and dedicated owner of O’Hara’s Sign and Paint where he worked for over 40 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, meeting friends daily for coffee at a local restaurant, and making his rounds Sunday to see his children, grandchildren, and other family members. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 10 AM at Holy Name Church, Ebensburg, The Rev. Brian Warchola. Internment Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Bishop Carroll High School, 728 Ben Franklin Hwy., Ebensburg, PA in Daniel’s memory.
