Eloise Frances Sokira (Wicky), Colver, Age 83, Went to be with the Lord March 16, 2026. Surrounded by her family. Born August 7, 1942 in Spangler. Daughter of Anthony and Bernice (Fulton) Vranka. Preceded in death by parents, husband James of 60 years and son Kenneth Sokira. Survived by sons, James Sokira, Ronald husband of Lisa ( Bahorik) Sokira, Daughter Theresa wife of Gerald Bearer, and Theresa (Lesniak) Sokira and wife of the late Kenneth Sokira. Grandchildren, Amanda (Bearer) Tatum, Leah (Bearer) Sidone, Jeffery Sokira, Natalie (Sokira) Berkebile, Alexus Sokira, Kyle Sokira and Alyson Sokira. Great grandchildren, Jocelyn Tatum, Matthew Tatum, Carson Sidone, Adelena Sidone and Lilly Berkebile, Mia Berkebile and Kenzley Spielvogle. Brother of Norman Vranka of Colver. Eloise was the most humble and kind woman ever. She always found good in every person and situation. Her whole life revolved around her family. After she did a tremendous job raising her four kids along with her husband Jim. She took great joy in watching them playing, guiding, and creating memories with her 7 grandkids. The Grandkids could go on for hours telling stories about their times with Gram and Pap, the memories are endless. Then came the 7 great grandkids that Gigi just adored, her face would light up, and her heart was so full of love when they came to visit. The tradition that she created will be cherished and carried on forever by the family. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5 till 8 p.m. at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Funeral Mass 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Family Church, Colver Fr Christopher, TOR. Interment Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Colver Fire Company in Eloise’s memory.
