Italina (Dolly) Marie DeYulis, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at St. Benedict’s Manor in Carrolltown. Dolly was born June 11, 1928 in Revloc, preceded in death by her parents, Pietro and Christina Menie; her husband of 67 years, Angelo Mario DeYulis; brothers, Dino and wife, Dorothy Menie, Albert and wife, Mary Menie, and sister Nunziata. Survived by son, Joseph; daughter, Christina and friend Michael Fagan; son, Mark and wife, Becky. Grandchildren: Danielle Baughman, Angela DeYulis, Matthew Baughman, Domenic DeYulis wife, Lindsay and great-grandchild, Florentina Betsy; Mario DeYulis, wife, Mackenzie and great-grandchild, Luca Angelo, and special caregiver and friend, Sharon Makosy. She was a devoted wife, mother and Nonna who was always there for her family. Nonna had a passion for cooking that was only surpassed by her love for family gatherings. Her kitchen was always filled with the delicious aromas of her homemade meals, where she would lovingly prepare food for all to enjoy. Every holiday, birthday, and gathering were made special by her presence, her meals and her laughter. Nonna was also a lover of music, and whether it was a lively family sing-along, the Italian classics or polkas, music always brought her joy. Her deep appreciation for the little things in life, along with her infectious laugh and warm smile will forever be missed. Many beloved family members and friends were touched by her kindness, generosity, and wisdom. Nonna’s legacy of love and togetherness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love and light will forever shine in our hearts.Friends will be received Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Funeral Mass Saturday at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Church, Ebensburg. The Rev. Brian Warchola. Interment Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 2101 Manor Drive, Loretto, PA 15940, in Dolly’s memory.
