Joan E. Nihart

Joan E. Nihart, Age 70, Ebensburg. Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning Dec. 20, 2025 at her home. Born August 2, 1955.  Joan is the wife of Richard L. and was married for 47 years. Also surviving is her three children, son Richard C. of Ebensburg; daughter  Angela D and husband Andrew Roschell of Lancaster, PA; and son Craig J. of Ebensburg. Eleven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren with two more on the way. Joan was the daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Brasser) Stewart and a sister of the late Gary Stewart. She is survived by two sisters Carol Stewart along with Joe Schilling of Northern Cambria ad her twin sister Jean and husband Gordon Kirsch of Carrolltown. Joan was an active member of the Ebensburg Methodist Church where she sang with the choir. Member of Ebensburg Senior Citizen Center. Joan enjoyed spending time with her family camping, she also enjoyed working on er plastic canvas. Friends will be received Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg.
