Karen Elizabeth Edmiston, Ebensburg. Age 73. Died Feb. 20, 2025, at Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Oct. 30, 1951, in Stanford, CT. Daughter of Chester L. and Kathleen (Byrnes) Stossel. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Ken Stossel, and (twin brother) Kevin Stossel, sons Brian and Barry Segada and stepson David Edmiston Jr. Survived by husband David, daughters Becky Cordek (Chad), Ebensburg; Brenda Segada, Hollidaysburg. grandchildren, Dylan, Taeler, Brianna, Zane, Dathan, Caleb, Rocco, and Valentina, and great granddaughter Sylvia. Sister of Kathy Budicky (Paul), Ebensburg; Kandy Hutchinson (Dave), Litz; Kelly McGarry (Bill), Cresson. Karen was the owner of SWR, LP Broadcast Antenna Manufacturer-RF Specialties of PA and Maple Crest Golf Course with her husband Dave. Auxiliary Member of American Legion Post 363, lifetime Auxiliary Member of VFW Post 4963 and Member of Moose Lodge 2186 all of Ebensburg. Karen enjoyed golfing with Dave and being on the Ladies League at Maple Crest Golf Course. She loved playing and winning skills machine and was an avid Temu shopper. She cherished time with her family, finding her greatest joy in the love and laughter she shared, especially with her great granddaughter Sylvia. She appreciated God’s love and always thanked God for family and friends. She was a very caring and forgiving person and was extremely generous to everyone in her life. Friends will be received Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to service time at 11 a.m. Rev. Brian Warchola at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Internment Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.
