Karen Ann Westrick

Karen Ann Westrick, Ebensburg, Age 72. Born May 9, 1951 in Johnstown. Died Nov. 2, 2023 at Conemaugh Hospital. Daughter of Leonard and Rita ( Natcher ) Noel. On Aug. 23, 1975 she married Edwin Westrick and together they raised three sons and celebrated 48 years of marriage. Karen is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Lois Noel, Dorothy Noel, Joseph Noel and Cecelia (Noel) Beaty. She is survived by husband Ed, children; James and wife Jessie “Mandy” Brown, Scott and wife Kristin Grosz and Kevin and wife Cindy Sheehan, all living in Pennsylvania. She was a loving Grammy to six grandchildren: Brooke, Phoebe, Olivia, Eliana, Emerson, and Wynn. Sister of William Noel, Stephen Noel, Bob Noel, Ella Flick, and Andy Noel, and numerous nieces, nephews. Karen was a caregiver, both at home and in her career. She worked as a registered nurse until her retirement. She was a devout Catholic and member of Holy Name Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Karen devoted her life to God and her family, and she will be missed dearly. Friends will be received Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Brian Warchola. Internment at a later date at Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. Karens family would appreciate your prayers.
