Lido P. Sisti

Lido P. Sisti, Colver, Age 98. Born August 8, 1924 in Colver. Died March 28, 2023 Cambria Care Center. Son of Pietro and Maria ( Ripani ) Sisti. Preceded in death by parents, sister Esther Tozzini. Survived by wife of 70 years Margaret ( Marge Ercol ) Sisti, children, Lynn ( David ) Sherman; Barbara ( Joe ) Stoy: and Connie ( Walter ) Tomassetti, Grandchildren Anthony and Amy Tomassetti. Sister Rena DeBastiani of Jupiter, FL and special nephew Denny Tozzini and many nieces and nephews. A lifelong resident of Colver, Lido cherished his community and its people. After High School, Lido enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served in the Pacific during WW 2. He retired from Eastern Association Coal Corp. Colver mine in 1978. Along with his family, he operated Sisti’s Café from 1938 to 2018. Member of VFW Post 4963, American Legion Post 636, and Moose Lodge 681, all of Ebensburg.  Entombment Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. If desired contributions in Lido’s memory may be made to the Colver Volunteer Fire Company.
