Lynn DiPaolo Obituary

Lyn Ann (Blum) DiPaolo, Revloc, Age 88. Died Oct. 22, 2024 at Maple Winds, Portage. She was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her nurses and caregivers who became like family during  her final months. Affectionately known as “Nonnie”. Born Nov. 26, 1935 in Johnstown. Daughter of Francis O. and Helen E. (Creery) Blum. Preceded in death by parents, husband Primo after 62 years of marriage Jan. 12, 2018, and an infant sister Helen Frances Blum. Survived by children, Perry, Helen (Kenton) Hatch and Jeff ( Sherry. Grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Graham; Anthony Hatch; Kristine (Greg) Hoffman; Michele Hatch; Ryan Butterbaugh Jr., and Primo , Dominic, and Gino DiPaolo. Great grand children Ian and Dane Hoffman; Julian and James Graham and Aspen and Ryan Butterbaugh ,. Sister of Jane (Thomas) Horner, St. Clairsville, OH., sister in law Lena Zamboni, Ebensburg.  Up until the end.  Nonnie maintained her warmth, kindness, grace, and compassion for others. She spent most of her life caring for her loved ones- a nurse without a license and doubled as a wonderful cook. Her heart could never be too full as she treated everyone as if they were her family and welcomed them into her home with open arms and plenty of home cooked food. Nonnie’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered, and her passing will be mourned by those who knew her. Her family will deeply miss her smile, her hugs and kisses, her determination, her sense of humor, and most al all, her love. Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren, great grandchildren as she inspired us all to remember that family always comes first, and the front door is always open for an unannounced visit. Retired clerical worker from Dr Pearle  and UMWA District 2 offices. Friends will be received Friday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home Ebensburg from 4 till time of services at 6 p.m. the Rev. Brian Warchola. Internment Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg, in lieu of flowers please make donation to the Alzheimer’s Assoc./ Dementia office in Lynn’s memory.
