Mary L. Hughes, Ebensburg, Age 81. Died July 13, 2023 at Conemaugh Hospital. Born November 25, 1941 in Amsbury, PA. Daughter of John and Caroline (Pierwola) Gaida. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by husband Rodney which ends a marriage union of 56 years and children Tracy (Kevin) Fitzpatrick, Las Vegas; Shawn ( Rita) Hughes, Abingdon, Maryland; Lisa ( Frank) Cawley, Jenkins Twp, PA. Grandchildren, Caroline and Gavin Fitzpatrick; Ava and Isabella Hughes; step grandchildren, Connor and Isabella Cawley. Sister of Margaret Manion, Betty Ann Burry, Eugene Laskowski, Nancy Hawley and John Gaida. Graduate of Central Cambria HS Class of 1959. Retired seamstress from Jo Ann Apparel. Mary spent her time as  a care giver and spending time with her grand kids. Funeral Mass will be Friday July 28, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Name Church Ebensburg the Rev Brian Warchola. Internment Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. Funeral arrangements by the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg.
