Michael J. Armold, Ebensburg, Age 54. Died Oct. 20, 2023 at home with his loving family at his side. Born May 2, 1969 in Johnstown. Son of William and Karen ( Band ) Armold. Preceded in death by father. Survived by Mother in Colver, wife the former Laurie ( Burns ) Armold, Children Michael and (Jacqulyn Hanz) Armold in Stowe; and Stephanie ( Rick Seilhamer) Armold, Gallitzin. 3 grandchildren Logan, Levi and Lexi. Brother of Kevin, Beaver Falls, and William Jr. “BJ”, Colver; and Jennifer Persio, Colver and special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, dear friends, Bill and Susan Wasik, Brandon Kopp and Gerrilyn Mock, and also his beloved Traeger. Also his Father and Mother in law Robert and Sharon Burns, of NY and Brother and Sister in law Shawn and Veronica Hubbard of NY. And the loss of his beloved companions Buddy and Ripley. Graduate of CCHS Class of 1988. Mike was a decorated Military Veteran with 4 years service in the US Marines and 19 years in the Army. He served 5 tours in Iraq and visited different Countries. He was an avid Penguins fan Bourbon Connoisseur, fisherman and godfather of grilling and adventure seeker. Special thanks to Dr. Jacelyn Tan and his favorite nurse Megan Turner. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. till time of service at 11 a.m. at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home Ebensburg. Veterans services Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home.
