Patricia L Wesner

Patricial L. Wesner, Colver, age 82.  Died April 30, 2025, in her home.  Born June 30, 1942, in Altoona.  Daughter of William and Marian (Hammond) Julius.  Preceded in death by her parents and brother, William.  Survived by loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her brother.  She was a devoted mother of five.  She adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and relished her time with them.  She was a graduate of Altoona High School and earned her credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse, spending her career in that profession, retiring from Laurel Crest Manor in Ebensburg.  Patricia, or Sophie, as she was lovingly nicknamed by her grandson, loved her Colver home and enjoyed just sitting outside watching the birds, bunnies, and kids playing in the nearby park.  She also loved animals, the beach, and boating on Lake Norman with her family.  She was a passionate advocate for the less fortunate and bestowed those ideals upon her children.  She will be missed forever by her family and is loved beyond measure.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society of Cambria County at https://www.humanecambria.org/donate/

Funeral services will be held at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg on Tuesday at 1 PM the Rev. Brian Warchola presiding.   Family and friends will be received from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg.
