Thomas C. Hoover

Thomas C. Hoover (Cougar), Age 74, Patton, died March 13, 2024.   Born May 21, 1949, in Clearfield.   Son of William and Jean (Wright) Hoover.   Preceded in death by parents, brothers William Hoover and David (D.R.) Burkhart.   Survived by siblings Peggy Aughenbaugh, Gary (Carol) Hoover, Debbie Hoover, Bonnie (Bill) Kovach, Jeff (Sandy) Burkhart and numerous nieces and nephews.   Tom spent his early years as a mine surveyor and then began a successful business selling rare books and collectibles.  Tom enjoyed family gatherings, hunting, fishing, and yard sales; but he found the most fun in life when in the company of his lifelong friends.   Tom took pride in being known as a great trivia tournament competitor.    Tom was a kind and humble man who was well loved and will be truly missed.   At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to a favorite charity of your choice.   Funeral arrangements by the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, PA.
