Timothy O’Hara died Jan. 7, 2024 in New Jersey formerly of Ebensburg. He was the son of James and Pauline O’Hara, Ebensburg, PA. Tim graduated from St. Francis University with a degree in physics and later earned a Master of Industrial Management at the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration at Temple University. Tim served in the Submarine Branch of the United States Navy as an engineering officer, serving onboard the U.S.S. Sam Houston and the U.S.S. Seahorse during the Vietnam War. He was employed as an engineering manager by Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Pittsburgh and various subsidiaries in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. He was later employed by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission as a Reactor Inspector, Division of Reactor Safety. He was a member of the Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Football Officials and the East Coast Football Officials Association. Survived by wife, Susan and sons Timothy and Colin. Survived by sisters Patricia (George) Smith, Ebensburg, Mary Lou (Deacon Daniel) Perich, Beaverdale, Judith (Joel) Kosmac, Kingston, TN, Christine (Christopher) Dumm, Ebensburg, and brother, Daniel O’Hara, Ebensburg. Family and friends will be received Friday from 3 to 7 P.M. at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Funeral Mass Saturday at 10 A.M.at Hoy Name Church, Ebensburg the Rev.
