Wayne R. Seguin Sr., 94, of Cooksburg, formerly Ebensburg, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Born on August 28, 1930, in Altoona, PA, he was a devoted husband to Miriam (Brodish) Seguin of 65 years, and a loving father to Wayne R. Seguin Jr. and wife Susan (Morgan) and Bruce Seguin and wife Marcia (Shawley). He is survived by grandchildren, Dana, Amanda, Jeremy, Joshua, and Brittany, as well as seven great grandchildren, who will miss him dearly. Dad, a decorated Korean War veteran, was humble, and hard-working man. He spent 31 years working for Bethlehem Steel. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and his passions.
Though Dad, did not like being the center of attention, he was a man of honor, he especially loved being a Free Mason, for over fifty years. He lived his life aligned with the Masonic teachings. Additionally, no one has ever loved to hunt and fish as much as he did.
A viewing and service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 12-1pm at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home and interment at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Children’s, a cause close to Dad's heart.
We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
