William J. "Redeye" Sheehan, Age 90 formerly of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully at his son’s house in Harrisburg on April 13, 2026. He was born Feb. 26, 1936, in Johnstown to the late Jeremiah and Mary (Murphy) Sheehan. He was preceded in death by his parents, and loving wife of 30 years Anita (Earhart). He is survived by his son Jeremiah and daughter-in-law Sarah Sheehan along with three grandchildren; William, Madeline and Chloe. He was a 1955 graduate of Ebensburg Cambria High School. Also known as Bill, he retired from Pepsi-Cola in Johnstown after 30 years of service. As a truck driver, he amassed nearly two million accident-free miles of driving, a testament to his steadiness and reliability. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served at Fort Bragg, NC, earning his parachutist badge. He was proud of flying in over a dozen airplanes but never landing in one. He maintained a productive garden and an ever-changing (some may never-finished) model train layout. He enjoyed spending time at camp, first Cedar Run, PA and later Glendale Yearound. He was a frugal man with a generous spirit who will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Friends will be received Thursday April 16 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11a.m. at Holy Name Church Narthex, Ebensburg. Funreal arrangements by the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg.
